Julia Braun is a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) and Mental Health Therapist at Waterfall Community Health Center. A native of Coos County, she returned to the Southern Oregon Coast in 2020 to reconnect with her roots and be closer to family. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Lewis & Clark College and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oregon State University, with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Julia brings a rich background in education, coaching, and creative practice to her work in mental health. She supports individuals navigating life’s challenges with curiosity, compassion, and a collaborative spirit. Her holistic approach is grounded in Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Julia is particularly interested in offering therapeutic experiences that are grounded in clients’ lived experiences, as each person is the expert in their own life. Outside of the counseling room, Julia enjoys hiking with her sweet rescue dog Clementine, foraging for wild foods, spending lazy days on the river, and seeking out live music whenever possible.
